Galaxy S22 camera specs leak, sales predictions cautiously optimistic
Rumours about the Galaxy S22 have been swirling for some time. The Exynos 2200 processor will only be available in select markets. Other than that, there is not much information about the upcoming Samsung flagships. The latest information about the cameras of the phones seems to confirm that point. It shows how the deal is similar to the Galaxy S21 series earlier in the year with small differences.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra is believed to have its main 108MP camera still. This tip from The Elec confirms that theory. The 12MP ultra-wide camera, which is also getting OIS, will be upgraded with the primary sensor. While the telephoto cameras will be upgraded with 12MP sensors and the 10x, 3x, and 3x zooms will remain the same, the telephoto cameras will also upgrade.
Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22+ have three cameras. One of these might be a 50MP RGBW sensor. The 12MP ultra-wide sensor is still available, but the 12MP telephoto camera gets a 3x optical zoom upgrade. The front cameras in all three models are the same, at 40MP for Galaxy S22 Ultra and 10MP for the other two. This suggests that there won’t be an under-display sensor (under-panel sensor) next year.
Samsung will likely start mass production in November and launch the Galaxy S22 flagship in January. This would end a long period of silence on the S series. However, the report states that parts companies aren’t optimistic about Galaxy S22 shipments and expect the phone to do slightly better than the Galaxy S21. This is a significant statement considering the disappointing results for the Galaxy S21.
Samsung will fill the gap with its Galaxy S21 FE. The Galaxy S21 Fan Edition has overcome many hurdles and may even be dead upon its arrival. Although there is no date yet, the latest rumors suggest that it will launch sometime in October.
